Islamabad : President Asif Ali Zardari will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from January 26 to 29, accompanied by a high-level delegation, the Presidency announced on Monday.

During the trip, the president is expected to meet UAE leaders to review bilateral ties, with discussions focusing on trade and economic cooperation, defence and security, and strengthening people-to-people connections. Regional and international issues of mutual concern will also be on the agenda.

The visit comes shortly after UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan’s official trip to Pakistan on December 27, 2025, his first since assuming office. That visit underscored the deepening relationship between the two countries, with talks centering on trade, investment, and security cooperation.

Officials said President Zardari’s upcoming engagements reflect the strong and historic ties between Pakistan and the UAE, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to expanding collaboration across multiple sectors. The visit also highlights Pakistan’s broader push to strengthen relations with Gulf states, where cooperation in defence, energy, investment, and regional diplomacy has seen renewed momentum.

This latest exchange of visits signals a continued effort by both sides to build on recent progress and chart new avenues for partnership in the years ahead.
